THE OPPORTUNITY
 
The Griffin Groupe is sourcing talented sales professionals for a valued client in the industrial manufacturing industry. Our client is a successful, family-owned company producing a myriad of products for all industries including military, energy, transportation, construction and petroleum.  They are searching for a key professional that can manage purchasing, inventory, order entry and sales support.
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related
  • 5+ years experience in industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven success in maintaining inventory levels and managing a warehouse staff
  • Proficient with CRM and Account Management systems
  • Organized and motivated to spearhead new process implementation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present well to management and clients
  • Intermediate skill with Excel and/or Access (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, etc.)
  • Ability to organize sales, inventory, etc. data into actionable information
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Production and Operations
 
  • Design process improvements in various areas to increase efficiency, profits, safety and quality
  • Monitor and forecast sales levels to determine optimum staffing levels
 
Inventory

 
  • Maintain/monitor inventory levels
  • Create and send purchase orders to vendors
  • Contact vendors to expedite purchases when needed
  • Process purchase order receipts when product arrives
  • Create purchase orders for import shipments
  • Coordinate with import shipping agent
 
Sales Support
 
  • Remain in close contact with sales personnel
  • Enter orders into our ERP software
  • Enter new customer information, new ship-to locations
  • Many orders contain assemblies.  These assembly components change on every order.
  • Help prioritize orders with production staff
  • Schedule shipping/customer pickups using UPS, Unishippers, etc.
  • Process BOL’s and Packing Lists and send to warehouse
  • Invoice customer orders
  • File-away order documentation to be easily retrieved when needed
  • Provide Customer tracking information, Customer installation instructions
  • Send test results to sales rep or customer
  • Run sales reports
 
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Proven work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and Account management systems
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Intermediate skill with Excel and/or Access (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, etc.)
  • Ability to organize sales, inventory, etc. data into actionable information
  • Highly organized, ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • BSc degree in Business, Engineering or related
  • Certifications or courses such as PMP, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. are a plus
