THE OPPORTUNITY
 
The Griffin Groupe is sourcing talented professionals for a valued energy client in Southern California.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with a $10B+ company that has been servicing customers for over 100 years. Come work for a team committed to creating smarter grids & cleaner energy. 
 
This consulting engagement is for a 6 months+. Candidates must be able to relocate in or near Rosemead, CA for the duration of the project.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position exists to manage the Assessment and Mitigation Program.
  • The Assessment and Mitigation program includes such elements as working with internal and external experts to conduct hazard and vulnerability assessments, identify impacts to the company, and determine and prioritize appropriate mitigations and monitor execution of those activities.
  • Focus would be on supporting the establishment of the company's Climate Adaptation and Severe Weather Assessment and Mitigation Program
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Typically possesses zero to three years of experience in managing large scale projects and use of associated management tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop requirements, adhere to schedules, develop and execute project plans, meet deadlines, operate under tight time constraints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate moderately complex ideas and information to different audiences and levels.and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships and interfacing with all levels of employees including executive management and subject matter experts across various organization units
  • Demonstrated experience making recommendations to senior leadership
  • Experience using Geographic Information Systems
  • Experience in weather, fire and/or Climate Analysis
  • Experience working in Climate Adaptation Fields
  • Understands and experience in Hazard and Impact Analysis Understands and experience in program/project development
  • Experience conducting or leading analysis using data, geographic information systems and/or other modeling tools and/or in establishing mitigation/risk reduction efforts
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing results of technical findings to non-technical audiences
